Steel Pipe Shot Blasting Machine

A steel pipe shot blasting machine cleans the outside and the inside of the pipe in a single pass. The pipe travels on driven rollers through an outer ring of blast wheels, while a lance or an internal wheel assembly reaches the bore. It is used before coating, lining or inspection on line pipe, casing, structural tube and water pipe. Internal cleaning is the harder half. The lance must follow the bore without touching it, and the abrasive and dust have to be extracted from inside the pipe rather than pushed out of the ends. Diameter range, wall thickness and pipe length therefore decide the machine layout more than tonnage does.
