Roller Conveyor Shot Blasting Machine

A roller conveyor shot blasting machine passes steel plate, H-beams, angles, channels and box sections through a tunnel of blast wheels on powered rollers. It is the standard pretreatment step before protective coating on structural steel, because the whole surface is cleaned and profiled in one pass without turning the work. The measurable output is surface cleanliness and roughness. Machines are set up to reach Sa 2.5 or Sa 3 to ISO 8501-1 and a roughness profile to ISO 8503-2 that the coating system specifies, and the same line can be followed by an airless paint booth so blasting and priming happen without intermediate handling.
